My Vision for Picture It

When I acquired Picture It in September of 2023, it was simply a tool for Shopify merchants to set up AR and live previews onto their artwork. It was just a product, and (I believe) lacked the attention it needed to nurture its userbase and help the art seller's businesses grow.

Since taking over, the core functionality of the app remains the same - users are still setting augmented reality and virtual showrooms into their stores, but this time, in a much more intuitive user experience.

Design and creativity should be at the heart of this business because we are building this for creatives. It should be by artists, for artists. To do this as a technology business, we need to simplify everything so that this message is clear.

Picture It will be the premiere ecommerce product combining art and technology. We are in the experience business. We want artwork to have a connection and impact on its buyers, all while helping artists become independent by creating a channel for them to build a business.

We need to support artists and art sellers by providing them excellent products, tools, and resources for them to be successful. The quality in which we deliver this will be what makes us the best in class.
