Picture It - Q1 2025 Review

I started the New Year by setting the goal of hitting $7,500 MRR by the end of the year.
Based on the first 3 months, I am not on track to hit that metric:
Jan 1, 2025: $1,966 MRR
March 31, 2025: $2,664 MRR (35% growth)
12.6% Progress

While I'm not mad at the growth, there's still things I need to improve...
Time to review:
What went well?
- I was able to collect 5 new reviews, which may not seem like much compared to most Shopify apps, but is great for a such a niche application.
- I started making content and posting more on different channels. Traffic from other sources like ChatGPT, Youtube, Reddit, and our website has increased.
- I implemented AI in our customer support to handle basic CS tickets.
What didn't go well?
- The average conversion rates this quarter was 37%, which is below our average of 50%.
- I'm averaging $366/month in converted trials. In order to meet the $7,500 goal, I'll need to increase that to $531/month.
- Still not operating at a profit (although we should be this next quarter)
What needs to improve?
- Our current onboarding process needs improvement in order to increase our trial conversions. Luckily we'll be releasing a feature to simplify some steps.
- My messaging needs to be clearer when creating content. Picture It serves to:
- Help artists become independent and thrive in the new online art market
- Bridge the gap between entrepreneurship
